We are investing in the monetization of our free, ad-supported, Spotify service, and are looking for a Yield Analyst to join CREAM, our Ad Products organization. CREAM’s Yield team is responsible for developing data-driven insights and strategies to accelerate the revenue growth of advertising across our emerging sales channels, including programmatic and our self-serve platform, Ad Studio.
The Yield team collaborates with both Product and Business teams to set goals, conduct analyses, improve our ability to gather data and bring scale to the implementation of our yield strategies.
What you’ll do
- Analyze advertising data across markets and products to develop yield strategies that maximize Spotify’s revenue opportunity. Ensuring that ads continue to perform and consumer experience remains strong is critical.
- Design and build reports and dashboards to support the development of yield insights across our emerging sales channels. Includes platform-wide, market, ad product, or advertiser-specific reports highlighting challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate yield-driving changes into our ad tech stack and improve our ability to extract and manage ad-related datasets.
- Work closely with our sales, product and finance teams to share insights, get buy-in for optimization approaches, and provide performance reports as needed towards the shared goal of driving ad revenue and free-business success.
- Engage with our platform partners to understand how best to use their respective platforms to uncover opportunities and configure setups to take advantage of them
- Employ rigorous standards for developing hypotheses and testing them
- Serve as internal expert on auction marketplace dynamics and industry developments that impact them
What you bring
- Passion for driving meaningful change through data insights
- 5+ years experience in data analysis role(s), preferably in advertising, media or technology
- Demonstrated success developing data-driven, actionable insights
- Experience managing the operational challenges of implementing yield optimization strategies across an organization
- Strong digital advertising technology knowledge, especially with regard to ad buying or selling platforms
- High level of proficiency with Excel and SQL; experience with Python or data visualization tools a plus
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including presenting data analyses in an easy-to-understand manner
