Sales Trainer, Americas for Spotify Ad Sales

We are looking for an outstanding Sales Trainer to join our Ad Sales Enablement Team, based in New York City. You will be responsible for managing on-boarding, internal product training, and sales skills development for sales and sales support teams, with a special focus on our Latin American sales teams. These teams are responsible for driving revenue for Spotify’s free (ad-supported) tier across North and South America

What you’ll do:

  • Work with sales leadership to build custom training programs for our sales teams in Mexico and Brazil
  • Conduct on-boarding sessions for new hires throughout North and South America
  • Work with internal teams, such as Product Marketing and Business Marketing, to conduct trainings on new products and sales positioning
  • Design and facilitate skills workshops for sales and sales support teams in Mexico and Brazil
  • Conduct needs assessments, build training content, and manage external training partners
  • Regular travel to Mexico City, São Paulo and Miami, plus occasional trips throughout the US, to provide onsite training and coaching
  • Provide 1:1 coaching for sales staff as needed
  • Report to the Global Head of Sales Training & Enablement, based in NYC

Who you are:

  • 5 years digital media industry experience, and preferred 2 years minimum of training experience
  • Fluent in English 
  • Fluent in either Spanish or Portuguese 
  • Strong knowledge of the digital advertising industry
  • A passion for helping people improve and perform
  • Strong ability to adapt your training style to learners’ needs
  • Experience with all aspects of training, including needs assessment, building lessons and job aides, selecting vendors, working with SMEs, and facilitation 
  • A successful track record of developing internal relationships with learners, managers, partners, and SMEs
  • Comfortable delivering candid feedback in a professional manner
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects
  • Have the ability to see the big picture and to work with sales staff in a productive and constructive way
  • Some previous sales experience or media sales/buying experience preferred
  • Experience providing 1:1 coaching a plus
