Sales Development Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated inbound leads specialist to join our team in New York. We are looking for a proactive problem solver who is curious about and empathetic towards prospective clients’ needs, and has a deep interest and passion for online media and innovation. We want someone who enjoys direct contact with clients and prospects and can identify new approaches and processes to constantly improve their ways of working in a way that best serves both our clients and internal stakeholders. You should be confident without ever being arrogant, and you work hard, but know how to have fun. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with inbound enquiries and leads we receive through our various marketing channels to identify who is a prospective digital advertising client for Spotify, and then route qualified leads to the appropriate Spotify contact
  • Work across all Spotify’s English-speaking markets, including USA, Canada, UK and Australia/NZ
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Spotify, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Salesforce specialists, Analytics and more
  • Focus on delivering an excellent experience for prospects and clients and setting Spotify salespeople up for success
  • Manage all your activity in Salesforce.com
  • Meet and exceed your targets for lead handoffs and resulting pipeline and closed won bookings
  • Constantly evolve and improve your approach and processes for prospect development

Who you are:

  • You are a highly motivated self-starter
  • You likely have a couple of years of experience in inside sales, lead qualification and/or performance marketing
  • You have experience working in Salesforce.com
  • You have experience in, and a passion for, digital advertising
  • You are detail oriented and interested in constantly improving processes
  • You like direct client contact
  • Your written and spoken English is excellent, especially in email communications
  • You have experience with and understanding of the needs of digital advertisers
  • You can balance multiple factors to make swift but well-reasoned decisions
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment and across external and internal teams
  • You may also speak Spanish, Portuguese or German and be able to work in that language or languages in addition to English
