Research Analyst (Advertiser Research & Measurement), New York – Summer 2020

Spotify is looking for a Research Analyst intern on the Advertiser Research & Measurement (ARM) team  to #JoinTheBand! The mission of Spotify’s ARM team is  to enable Spotify to win and retain advertisers through revenue-driving research, insights, and measurement solutions that demonstrate the power of Spotify as a media platform. This is executed through a combination of custom research projects, global insight trackers, and ad effectiveness studies, partnering closely with our Ad Sales, Marketing and Product teams to drive success across our business.

What you’ll do:

Leverage behavioral data, syndicated research, and primary research to uncover media, audience, vertical, and competitive insights

Execute ad effectiveness studies spanning survey research, offline/online sales measurement, and audience verification

Maintain global databases of advertising effectiveness and audience insights for trends analysis

Partner with internal stakeholders to create success stories and sales collateral highlighting Spotify’s value as a media partner

Consult with our sales team on measurement execution and how to position research results

Work with external research partners to develop research studies that answer key business objectives

Leverage advertising research products, such as Nielsen, comScore, Oracle, Placed, Millward Brown, GlobalWebIndex, Simmons, MRI, eMarketer, Triton, etc.

Who you are:

A current undergraduate student in your junior or senior year, with previous internships or experience in quantitative/qualitative advertising research or a related field

Proven ability to weave various research sources together into a cohesive and compelling story

Experience analyzing and presenting data, with a keen attention to detail

A positive and collaborative team player who values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

You have strong knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem

You have strong Microsoft Suite, database and SPSS (or related program) skills

Skills in big data tools like R, Python or SQL are a plus

Spotify is looking for enthusiastic students/recent graduates with a passion for music and an ambition to go far. This isn’t just any internship! Our paid internship program will give you the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it’s like to be a Spotify employee as well as get the opportunity to see the technology side of a fast growing company! Our summer internships will last for 10 weeks this summer and start in the beginning of June.
