Program Manager, Shows & Editorial – NYC

We are looking for a Program Manager to help drive and own outcomes for new global and cross-functional strategic initiatives within the Content organization at Spotify. 

What you’ll do

  • Help develop project plans – unpack a broad company-wide, cross-functional initiative into specific work streams, projects, and deliverables that are assigned to various stakeholders across the company
  • Set impact targets and a system for measuring and communicating performance of the project against those targets
  • Develop project communications – prepare decks and other materials to communicate project goals and progress to company leadership, other stakeholders, and all of Spotify when appropriate
  • Facilitate collaboration between leaders, functions, and workstreams
  • Drive decision making, escalate issues and resolve blockers to effective and timely delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement during the project and ensure findings are gathered, shared and integrated into future work
  • Initiate and then own (with support from appropriate departments) the staffing planning, building capability and allocation of required resources within the projects
  • Creating an environment of high trust, and champion the vision for the project
  • Ensure projects are executed in a manner that is likely to breed success, while being consistent with our values, including having fun
  • Work from our office in New York

Who you are

  • You have experience managing large, cross-functional projects (e.g. spanning functions such as engineering, content, legal, and others)
  • You are business-minded, analytical and passionate about the potential of leading multiple teams across the company towards achieving a common goal
  • You use your expertise in leading projects to transform our business
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa
  • You have genuine interest in the mechanics of the music industry
  • Someone who likes to work both on a strategic and operational level – you’re not afraid of getting your hands dirty
  • You understand the importance of being a true team player
  • You ideally have experience from working in a similar role in the entertainment industry
