Product Design – Summer Internship – UK

Hey, here’s your chance to be a full time Spotify employee, starting with a summer internship!

Our Role Within Design

For the Summer of 2019 we are among others looking for interns in these areas below. Please note that we might have more than one role within each area within multiple teams.

Product Design

You’ll be joining one of our Product Design teams creating delightful, effective moments for our end users. You will collaborate with product owners and fellow designers to create and produce prototypes for Spotify’s features. Rapidly produce multiple prototypes and variations; knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches.

You get nervous if you’re not sketching concepts, or polishing the designs that represent the big-thinking work. Your head is in the clouds while your feet are on the ground.

Courses: Master of Arts, Product Design, Digital Creative or equivalent

Skills: Digital Product Design, Prototyping

The Intern Gig

This isn’t just any internship! Our paid internship program will last for 12 weeks next summer starting in the middle of June, and you’ll get a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it’s like to be a Spotify employee.

For the Program we’re looking for enthusiastic students/recent graduates with a passion for music and an ambition to go far, just like us. You should be at the end of your studies, graduating latest Summer 2020 or recently graduated from your studies.

Make sure attach your CV and Cover letter in English and specify what Intern role you’re interested in, in the application form. We will then match you with the best Intern role based on your interest and skill set.

The deadline to apply is December 3rd, 2018 at 11:59 PM CET. You can expect the following application timeline:

  • Late December, 2018 – Mid January, 2019: Application Review
  • Late January, 2019 – March, 2019: Interviews
  • February, 2019 – April, 2019: Offers given out
  • 10 June, 2019: Intern program start

We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better workplace for our employees and a better product for our users and our creators. This is something we value deeply and we encourage everyone to come be a part of changing the way the world listens to music.
