Premium Business Strategy Internship (MBA), New York – Summer 2020

We are looking for a Premium Business Strategy intern to #JoinTheBand this summer. The Premium Strategy intern at Spotify will support the team in developing new go-to market plans with a critical focus on articulating these new strategies to internal leaders. The Premium business at Spotify focuses on converting free Spotify users to a paid Premium subscription across diverse markets around the world.

What you’ll do:

Ideate and assist in developing go to market plans for new business initiatives for the Premium business (like audiobooks)

Research new emerging markets growth strategies and leverage the data to inform decision-making in the team

Dive deeper into existing Spotify products and develop strategic recommendations for driving sustained growth 

Collaborate and engage with multiple functional partners to work across all key areas of the business, both regionally and across global markets

Who you are:

You are a highly self-motivated first or second year MBA candidate

You have the ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a proven track record in cross-collaboration

You are extremely data driven and have a working knowledge of excel and PowerPoint (or the google doc equivalents)

You have a strong interest in music streaming and adjacent industries

You are a keen problem-solver and have exceptional structuring skills

The Intern Gig:

Spotify is looking for enthusiastic students/recent graduates with a passion for music and an ambition to go far. This isn’t just any internship! Our paid internship program will give you the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it’s like to be a Spotify employee as well as get the opportunity to see the technology side of a fast growing company! Our summer internships will last for 10 weeks this summer and start in the beginning of June.

Mid November, 2019 – Mid January, 2020: Application Review

Mid December, 2019 – March, 2020: Interviews

January, 2020 – April, 2020: Offers given out

June, 2020: Intern program start
