Payments Strategy Lead

Spotify’s Payments team is responsible for managing the growth, stability and future direction of Spotify’s approach to payments globally. We are now looking for an outstanding Payments Strategy Lead to join our team.

The Payments Strategy Lead will report to the Director of Global Payments Strategy and will play a key role in defining and implementing the payments strategy that will enable Spotify to meet its growth ambitions. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you’ll do 

  • Play a key role in defining Spotify’s global payment strategy to meet the needs of our ecosystem of consumers, creators and advertisers. 

  • Develop and manage clear plans to ensure we deliver against our strategy. 

  • Lead and execute specific strategic initiatives, working closely with our commercial,  product and engineering teams. 

  • Work either from our London or Stockholm office with regular travel between the two offices and other company locations.  

Who you are 

  • You are commercially minded with  8+ years of experience in strategy development and execution.

  • You have a deep understanding of the global online payments landscape, ideally obtained through working for an e-commerce business or for an online payments provider.

  • You are an experienced strategic storyteller with a track record in developing compelling narratives for a diverse range of audiences. 

  • You have strong project management skills and have successfully delivered complex, cross-functional projects, where all the resources were not in your direct control.

  • You are happy to be hands-on and thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and dynamic environment.

  • You are experienced in working collaboratively with colleagues in the tech and product domains. 

  • You have strong interpersonal skills and care about building trust and credibility at all levels.
