Are you passionate about and excel in fostering speed and agility in cross functional teams that obsess about consumers? We are seeking an exceptional leader for our Operations function in Spotify’s Experience Mission.

In the Experience Mission we set the vision and strategies for Spotify’s consumer experience propositions across platforms. By the end of 2020 we will be about 600 people in close to 50 cross functional teams located between Stockholm, Gothenburg and London. As a leader for Operations you will scale the function, while providing thought leadership about how to create a learning culture that embraces operational excellence and innovation. You will report to the Experience Mission’s Director of Strategy Operations. 

What you’ll do

  • Optimising for teams, you’ll be accountable for fostering a learning culture that optimises for speed and agility while obsessing about the consumer
  • You’ll scale and lead a team of 4 to 6 Operations Managers
  • You’ll be accountable for the way we plan and follow up work across our teams
  • You’ll foster clarity and transparency of our strategies, priorities, progress and impact by owning our internal communication strategy across communication channels
  • You’ll drive a wide types of projects across our teams
  • You’ll own our operational rhythm (calendar) and make sure that it is clear, maintains a healthy cadence and aligns with company-wide events
  • You’ll collaborate with the Experience Mission’s leaders, key stakeholders and teams to make sure that we consciously iterate and improve our operational solutions 
  • You’ll also collaborate with R&D Operations leads across the company to improve how we collaborate across the company

Who you are

  • You’re have extensive experience, and are recognised for your ability to create learning cultures that optimise for speed and agility in fast paced, consumer focused and technology driven companies
  • You have 10+ years experience from leading operational practices in some of the world’s most innovative fast growing technology companies
  • You’ve proven experience running highly effective agile cross functional teams that deliver consumer products and have fun while doing it
  • You’re an inspiring leader that thrive to see people grow
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and have the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • You’re a strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to transform goals into actionable plans
  • You’re data informed in your work and understand what agile is all about
  • You’re extremely organised, even when you’re not in control
  • You’ve worked with stakeholders at all levels
  • You’re collaborative and open minded
  • You thrive in collaborative fast changing environment
