This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to kick-start your HR career within Spotify’s HR department. You will be based in our Stockholm office, but get the chance to see and work in our other offices around the world. This is a great opportunity to learn how the Spotify HR teams work in many aspects and areas. To maximize your learning experience you will work on exciting and relevant projects in the different HR teams, outlined below.
The program will span for 18 months but this is a permanent position – at the end of the program you will start to work full-time in one of these teams.
Brief description of the different teams
You will be given a unique opportunity to work in a global, fast-paced company where innovation and constant change rule. In your tailor-made position, you will work closely with our CHRO and our HR Lead Team. The purpose is to inspire a young HR professional to come grow with us, challenge us and excel within what we believe is one of the best teams there is. The trainee program includes, among other things, a purpose-designed tactical and strategic self-led opportunity.
Our people are our most important asset. The mission of the Talent Aquisition team is to creatively identify and engage in top talent as well as improving and scaling our recruiting practice as Spotify grows larger. Our recruiters manage the full recruitment cycle in close partnership with the hiring managers and HRBPs. Using both qualitative and quantitative data, the recruiters constantly work on improving both candidate experience and quality of hires, and they recommend and drive improvements to enhance our overall recruiting practice.
GreenHouse (Learning & Development)
Our GreenHouse team’s mission is to enable and empower all of our band members to develop and grow faster than the world is changing. Learning & Development (L&D) is at core of what we do at Spotify HR, and essential for the company to stay ahead of the game. We need to learn fast and use our learning to improve, invent and re-invent. Our L&D specialists act as; trainers in our in-house development sessions; L&D partners to the business; and as project/program managers for the initiatives we drive to keep the best rock stars in our Spotify band. We know that when our people grow, Spotify grows.
People Experience & Social
The People Experience (Px) & Social team is focussed on running initiatives that showcase our employer brand, differentiate Spotify as a workplace, and enable Spotifiers to feel included and excited about life at spotify. They do that through a number of channels such as events, office sessions, employee health & well-being, and the Spotify Plus & SpotiKids programs and social media. The team works closely with Spotify’s brand communications department to help guide Spotify’s identity as an employer and to bring employer branding ideas to life.

The Compensation & Benefits teams mission is to ensure that Spotify is a highly competitive company, globally, in terms of our the compensation and other benefits we offer Spotifiers. Among other things, the team provides professional guidance on our compensation programs which consist of cash and long term incentives, and on our benefit programs (Occupational Pension / Life insurance, Medical, LTD & STD, Life and others).

The objective of this team is to provide the core HR support that helps the business run in an aligned and effective way. The team is made up of two roles; HR Business Partners and HR Specialists.
The HR Business Partners each work with a specific business function. Their role is focused on working with the functional leadership teams to ensure that the organisation is structured and aligned to be able to deliver on the business strategy. They use their knowledge of their business function and the expertise of the broader HR team to develop and deliver a People Plan that best supports the work of the team and helps the business meet its goals.
The HR Specialist team are organised to provide support based on regions. They manage the HR operations and infrastructure, making sure that all Spotifiers have the information and support they need throughout their time at Spotify. The Specialist team are experts in local legislation, meaning they are usually the first point of contact for employees and managers, and they work with the Business Partner team to provide advice on local requirements and best practice.
Who you are
We are looking for someone with a bachelor or master’s degree in the area of Human Resource Management. Perhaps you are graduating this winter, next summer or you might have a recently graduated. Most importantly, you need to be fearless and take on the challenges that are set before you without hesitation. To be successful you also need to be curious and never stop asking questions. Passion for your field is key and to really look at this program as an opportunity to learn and grow within the HR field.
