HR Specialist

We are looking for a HR Specialist to join our HR Specialist team.Based in London, focused on supporting employees and managers.

You will work closely with the rest of the HR Specialist team to ensure the delivery of global projects and region specific process improvements. You will be responsible for implementing, communicating and providing training resulting from any project work. The day-to-day work of this role will also support all stages of the employee lifecycle for employees across the region, including delivery of employee on-boarding, facilitating manager training, working to resolve employee queries and partnering with managers to resolve labor law issues.

What you’ll do 

  • Partner with managers and HR Business Partners to understand and resolve local issues
  • Work with the business to develop dedicated solutions to recurring team challenges
  • Expert knowledge of UK employment law, with extensive experience in managing ER issues and applying working knowledge of UK legislation
  • Act as the first point of contact in HR for employees and managers
  • Be the local expert providing hands-on labor law advice and support in region
  • Road manage global HR project work and roll-out of HR initiatives in region
  • Manage orientation and onboarding for new employees
  • Support processes through the employee life cycle including performance development, organisational and conduct issues
  • Deliver training to support manager development
  • Complete regular audits on a monthly and annual basis and necessary admin
  • Review HR processes and suggesting changes to improve efficiency and scalability
  • The role involves regular travel to other offices, particularly Cambridge, although London would be the home office for the role

Who you are

  • You have experience in generalist HR role, preferably in an international company
  • You have knowledge and understanding of UK work legislation
  • You are able to work collaboratively, being inclusive of all partners
  • You have the ability to productively challenge and influence other teams and managers
  • You are able to prioritise well and be flexible in a fast paced environment with changing demands
  • You have experience in managing projects and resources to ensure successful completion of objectives
  • You have an exposure to work in complex and challenging environment in a global company
  • You possess excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • You possess dedicated solution focused approach to problem solving
  • You have demonstrated a commercial approach to managing HR issues
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English,language skills in one other language is an advantage , preferably French
