We are looking for a passionate, organized, relationship-driven Exclusives Lead to work on our Content Partnerships team. Reporting to the Head of Content Partnerships, North America, this role is responsible for ensuring that exclusive podcasts thrive on Spotify.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and manage exclusives budget, relationships, and program success
  • Develop the content strategy and investment plan for exclusive shows In collaboration with the Head of Content Partnerships, North America 
  • Work alongside Spotify Studios to ensure that investment plans support their content and audience strategies
  • Develop show-specific investment cases in collaboration with Licensing and Insights and deliver outcomes to Spotify executive team for final green-light  
  • Support Licensing with competitive insights and relationship analysis to enable efficient deal negotiations
  • Manage a small team of Partner Managers and own all Exclusive KPIs and OKRs 
  • Provide oversight and work cross-functionally across Licensing, Studios Marketing, Programming, and Sales to ensure programs succeed both at launch and on a long-term basis
  • Develop innovative strategies, plans, and tactics to deliver outsized audience and consumption against the exclusive shows 

Who you are

  • You have a BA/BS degree with at least 10-years years of entertainment or media partner facing experience, ideally with a background in talent management, business development, and/or program management 
  • You are passionate about the evolution of audio and enjoy consuming podcasts and other spoken word content
  • You have a deep understanding of podcast, digital studio, and/or traditional or digital radio business models
  • You are self-motivated and have strong, preexisting entertainment and media industry relationships across creators, managers, and agents
  • You thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes situations and are comfortable taking accountability for team goals an KPIs as a leader within Spotify
  • You are a collaborator and enjoy driving results through consensus building, but are also comfortable asserting your own positions and going against-the-grain
  • You have experience using quantitative and qualitative data to drive deal-making and are comfortable asserting the ‘why’ based on data and intuition
