Hey, here’s your chance to be a full time Spotify employee, starting with a summer internship!
We’re looking for enthusiastic students and recent graduates to join our paid 12-week internship program, starting in June 2018. We’re looking for creative thinkers with a passion for music and an ambition to go far. You should either be approaching the end of your studies (graduating no later than winter 2018/2019) or have recently graduated.
This isn’t just any internship! Our paid internship program will give you the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it’s like to be a Spotify employee, as well as giving you the opportunity to see the technology inside a fast-growing company.
The deadline for applications is 11:59 PM CET on 3rd December 2017. You can expect the following application timeline:
- Late December 2017 – Mid January 2018: Application review
- Late January 2018 – March 2018: Interviews
- February 2018 – April 2018: Internship offers
- June 2018: Internship program starts
For the Summer of 2018 we are looking for interns in these areas below. Please note that we have more than one role within each area within multiple teams.
Research Scientist (Sonalytic)
You’ll work closely with the team to design and test state-of-the-art algorithms that analyse tens of millions of songs and billions of user-data points. You will work on challenging research problems around audio and music, and mix with some of the best engineers and researchers in the business. Your work will potentially have an high impact in terms of both publication and production.
Courses: Msc or PhD in Mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, or equivalent
Skills: Machine Learning, Audio Signal Processing, Python
Research Scientist (Tech Research)
You will be able to build state of the art models to create new content-based product features and recommendations. As an intern, you will work with great audio and MIR researchers on interesting and meaningful applications. You will also enjoy a research environment while being able to take advantage of large amount of data and computational resources. Your work will potentially have an high impact in terms of both publication and production
Courses: PhD in CS, ML, Deep Learning, Audio Signal Processing, Music Information Retrieval
Skills: Deep Learning, Audio Signal Processing, Python
You will join a passionate engineering and research team, working on large distributed systems with complex databases. You will work on challenging problems involving petabytes of data, and mix with some of the best engineers and researchers in the business. Your work will potentially have an high impact in terms of both publication and production.
