As the Design Programs Manager, you will be responsible for amplifying Spotify Design both internally and externally and fostering a culture that is inclusive, educational, creative, celebratory, and collaborative. As a part of the larger Design Operations team, you will also aid in driving operational effectiveness within our org; overseeing team health, developing process to make us more efficient and fast, and keeping the rhythm of the team on point.

Who You Are:

  • Fluent in English; Swedish and plus
  • An excellent communicator- able to adjust tone to the appropriate audiences, and create flawless visual and written communications
  • Proficient in google suite; Adobe suite a plus
  • Humble with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
  • Proactive and thrive in uncertainty- you love to build things from the ground-up
  • Inclusive and social – you love to create a sense of “team” and make others feel welcomed
  • Creative with an eye for design- you understand design standards, can ideate and make decisions on creative assets such as event design, printed materials and presentations
  • Comfortable with working some evenings for events and US meetings
  • Comfortable with up to 20% work travel to US and Europe

Your Background:

  • Experience working with product design teams with a deep understanding of design processes and systems
  • Extensive program and project management experience, including large-scale events, both internal and external
  • Experience working with globally-dispersed teams
  • 5+ years experience in an operations-driven role

    • Work with leads and team members to understand needs, and build data-driven programs to support the following areas:

      • Learning & Inspiration

      • External Presence
  • Design Studio Management- Global
    • Oversee operations and implement programs in our design studios in all offices, that will help nurture a creative and collaborative design environment.
    • Work with other Spotify teams to help broaden design knowledge and inclusion at a company-level
    • Delegate with team coordinator to ensure global coverage
  • Budget Management- Global
    • Set and oversee budget for design programming
  • New Hire Management- Global
    • Working with hiring managers to oversee the onboarding process, ensuring that all new employees have a great experience joining Spotify.
    • Delegate with team coordinators to ensure global coverage
