Data Analytics Manager, Publishing Royalties

We are looking for a Data Analytics Manager to work with our Publishing Royalties data team. Your mission will be to support the data operations for royalty calculations, perform analytics over publishing claims and manage a team to provide insights to internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a team of data analysts / scientists and work with large data sets, solving complex problems in a dynamic environment 
  • Work with accounting team members to define requirements for ad-hoc data analysis and reporting, being able to work independently to propose solutions
  • Work with our Engineers to support the development of systems and processes to support the ingestion, analysis, and reporting of publishing data
  • Support ad-hoc requests from various internal teams (Accounting, Legal, Licensing, Financial Planning, etc) as well as external music licensors that require analysis of publishing data and systems
  • Work with a cross-functional team of data analysts, engineers and accountants to define and test requirements for enhancing publishing royalty systems
  • Work with a group of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about Spotify’s success

Who You Are

  • You have a minimum 5 years of experience using databases and analytics tools to solve business problems
  • You have experience managing and developing a team of data analysts / scientists
  • You have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or another quantitative discipline
  • You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast moving company with a wide variety of strategic initiatives
  • The ideal candidate has previous experience working with recording or publishing rights

  • Big Query / Google Cloud Platform
  • Tableau, Qliksense, or other visualization tools
  • Basic Command Line Operations
