Data Analytics and Quality Assurance Manager, Royalties and Accounting

We are looking for a Data Analytics and Quality Assurance Manager to work with our Royalties and Accounting data team. Your mission will be to perform analytics over royalties and financial data to provide insights to internal and external stakeholders, operate and enhance the end to end data controls, and support the data operations for monthly royalty calculations.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a team of data analysts / data scientists working with large data sets to solve complex problems in a dynamic environment
  • Work with our engineers and data scientists to support the development of system features and process enhancements related to data controls, quality assurance testing and royalties calculations
  • Manage the delivery and testing of data pipeline changes related to royalty calculations
  • Support the technical components of our monthly royalty calculation ensuring timely creation, completion of quality checks, and analysis of outputs
  • Review and reconcile data outputs required for various internal teams (Accounting, Legal, Licensing, Financial Planning, etc) as well as external stakeholders that require data related to royalties, financial and streaming data
  • Work with accounting team members to define requirements for ad-hoc data analysis and reporting
  • Work with a group of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about Spotify’s success

Who You Are

  • You have a minimum 5 years of experience using databases and analytic tools to solve business problems
  • You have experience managing and developing a team of data analysts / scientists
  • You have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or another quantitative discipline
  • A self starter with the ability to work independently to propose and lead the development of solutions to address business needs
  • You have experience working with financial data including performing data reconciliations and quality assurance testing
  • You have a strong control and quality mindset and experience in designing, developing and testing data controls
  • You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast moving company with a wide variety of strategic initiatives
  • The ideal candidate has previous experience working with configuring and testing financial systems, and/or performing analysis royalties related data
