Client Solutions Partner, Podcast Sales

We are looking for an outstanding Client Solutions Partner who is excited about the burgeoning world of podcasts within a dynamic, high impact sales environment. The ideal candidate will be able to provide first-rate customer service to our clients while efficiently multi-tasking under pressure.  You will be responsible for assisting the sales cycle from prospecting through negotiations, ultimately closing the deal. This role includes strategic planning, consultative selling, creative brainstorming, expert product knowledge, project management, storytelling and driving revenue. You must be professional, organized and motivated.  You will be a reliable and crucial team member with comprehensive platform knowledge who can anticipate client and sales team needs. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and podcasts.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver best-in-class customer service to Spotify’s advertiser and agency partners using a client-centric approach to make podcast recommendations that meet campaign objectives and drive revenue growth
  • Rely on your curiosity and abilities to ask questions to uncover needs of customers and key stakeholders, appropriately positioning Spotify’s capabilities and value in a way that drives buyer interest and ultimately revenue and retention
  • Lead the strategic development of RFP response recommendations and rationales by leading brainstorms to translate amazing ideas into brand strategies and providing compelling solutions while delivering proposal collateral and media plans for client submission
  • Become Spotify’s product and process expert to consult with clients and field product functionality and capability questions and/or media plan recommendation questions throughout the sales cycle
  • Be well-versed in and able to assess inventory forecasts to make recommendations that drive scale and repeat revenue while establishing Spotify as a consultative partner
  • Support sales and client presentations by preparing key data points, historical findings and relevant advertiser research
  • Regularly attend and participate in client meetings and client entertainment to deepen client relationships as a trusted and valued partner
  • Collaborate daily with Ad Ops on  live campaign status, performance, optimizations and incremental recommendations to make informed recommendations during future RFP opportunities
  • Liaise and develop strong relationships with cross-functional internal teams including Creative Solutions, Compliance, Production, Pricing and Inventory, Ad Ops, Research & Measurement and Product Marketing to deliver cohesive best-in-class customer service to clients

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business
  • You have a minimum of 4 years experience in digital or content media planning and buying while also having solid industry knowledge and a desire to learn more about the podcast industry
  • You are passionate about the growing landscape of podcasts
  • You will be a passionate, accountable, creative, and team-focused individual that exemplifies the values and responsibilities of the Spotify sales and podcasts strategies
  • You demonstrate the ability to think creatively, sell consultatively, proactively problem solve and efficiently communicate internally and externally
  • You understand the unique circumstances of client buying process, key decision-makers and influencers, timing and needs in order to make an informed recommendation
  • You have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and are eager to further refine and develop these skills
  • You understand the importance of and build relationships and alignment across internal teams and key stakeholders within the client’s organization to get projects completed and deals sold
  • You are a highly organized and focused multi-tasker with strong attention to detail, analytical and project management skills, and can work independently within a team focused organization
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, deadline and detailed oriented environment
  • You have a reputation of being a superstar Client Solutions Partner (or similar sales support function) that provides world class customer service while maintaining a cool, calm and collected demeanor
  • You believe in the power of teamwork, and are a team player
  • You have excellent dexterity in excel and powerpoint, and have experience working within CRMs, Order Management Systems, ad servers and other digital media tech systems
