Campaign Management Lead

Internal title: Sales Planning Lead

We are looking for an experienced Campaign management Lead to join our Europe Ad Sales team. You will oversee Campaign management efforts within Germany to support the full sales cycle from pre-sales to campaign execution to post-sale.  You will be based either in Dusseldorf or Berlin. This role includes strategic planning, brainstorming, expert product & targeting knowledge, programmatic troubleshooting, sales support expertise and the ability to drive revenue. You must have experience within Campaign management or a similar sales support function. You must be professional, organised and motivated as well as have the drive to succeed in a dynamic, competitive environment.  Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you’ll do

  • You will directly manage a team of Campaign managers to drive revenue in accordance with Spotify’s sales strategy

  • Assess staffing needs including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding talent

  • Develop and enhance managerial skills through goal setting and skill building to elevate performance and foster career pathing of your team

  • Conduct weekly 1:1s while also collecting bi-annual 360 feedback from peers to drive ongoing professional development with each sales planner

  • Be an expert on all touchpoints of the role to problem solve and provide solutions for the regional team, while also being a face of the organization as a demonstrated role model and leader advocating the Spotify sales strategy

  • Serve as an escalation point for your team and channel feedback and client needs to the Head of Client services & Sales Planning

  • Align with cross functional team leads to provide clients and sales team with any necessary yield requirements, inventory trends, campaign insights and execution best practices

  • Contribute to and lead product and process workflows, collateral development and relevant team trainings

  • Work closely with sales leads and market teams in account planning exercises including the quarterly bottoms up process to evaluate client business needs to drive revenue

  • Collaborate on regional high value proposals for key accounts as needed

  • Facilitate regional alignment by sharing information with fellow regional stakeholders to streamline processes with the goal of driving revenue

  • Manage key client accounts following internal processes for pre- and post-sales responsibilities for all campaigns

  • Step in as needed as coverage support for your team

  • Review and approve time off requests, expenses, coverage support for parental leave and other administrative tasks for your team

  • Report to Head of Client services & Sales Planning, Europe

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree

  • 2+ years People management experience

  • You have 6 + years of professional experience preferably in a campaign management or a similar sales support role, ideally in the digital media industry

  • Programmatic experience preferred but not essential

  • You are comfortable being in a leadership position and providing constructive guidance and feedback in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality and trust

  • You are a passionate, accountable, creative, and team-focused individual that exemplifies the values and responsibilities of the Spotify sales strategy

  • Proven ability to understand macro and micro needs of client’s business and goals

  • You are detail oriented and find solutions for clients while optimizing and improving internal processes for the larger sales organization

  • You have a reputation being a superstar Sales Planner (or similar sales support function) that provides world class customer service while maintaining a cool, calm and collected aura

  • You have the ability to gracefully translate client requests to operational, compliance and finance teams

  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills while being an effective listener and transparent communicator

  • You believe in the power of teamwork, and are a team player

  • You have experience working within CRMs, Order Management Systems, ad servers and other digital media tech systems
