Business Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced and strategic marketer to join our growing team in Japan! You will be responsible for the business marketing strategy, creating compelling integrated marketing campaigns to generate sales leads for Spotify’s advertising business. This is inclusive of digital, social, and experiential to bring our value proposition to life for advertisers and agency executives in an efficient, scalable way.

You will work with the advertising community to solidify our position as thought leaders in the Japanese market. You will act as a representative of the APAC team within a global organization, and have opportunities to work on projects with team members around the world. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you’ll do

  • Drive brand awareness and lead generation through digital channels, including, but not limited to, social, paid media, website blog and newsletter
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify in-market opportunities to build out the business marketing strategy
  • Liaise with global teams through consistent communication to ensure our messaging is aligned
  • Organize events and sponsorships that educate, inspire, and create evangelists within brands and agencies
  • Analyze research essential to telling our Spotify story and deliver packaged insights that are educational and compelling to our clients
  • Adapt and localize persuasive sales tools and programs for Spotify sales teams by ensuring narratives are consistent with the global story, but culturally relevant through local data and insights
  • Analyze all activities and measurement KPIs to optimize campaigns for a better lead generation
  • Opportunities to join global squads to help build scalable, innovative digital programs to educate clients about the Spotify for Brands offering that tap into their consumer love of Spotify
  • Support any trade PR in conjunction with the Corp Comms team and regional sales leads for consistent B2B media coverage
  • Identify key trade organizations to partner with and act as Spotify’s liaison
  • Work with translation agencies to ensure that global stories are accurate in the Japanese language
  • Ideate and produce all Asia Spotify for Brands merchandise
  • Manage local vendor relationships and ensure PO and invoice process is adhered to and tracked internally
  • Highlight insights and success of campaigns for further global roll-out

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor Degree or an equivalent education
  • You are a native Japanese speaker and also fluent in English
  • You have several years of experience in the digital media environment in a similar B2B marketing role in a global company
  • You are experienced in developing and managing integrated campaigns, inclusive of paid media, digital, social and experiential
  • You have solid knowledge of the digital advertising industry
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrix organization
  • You are flexible and able to adapt to a growing and evolving industry
  • You like to travel
  • Ability to mix creativity with strategic thinking, and demonstrate strong organisational and prioritisation skills are essential
  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbally
