We are looking for an Atlassian Developer to manage the functional administration and development of many of the end-user applications and their integrations (productivity, communication, collaboration tools) used by Spotify internally within the Atlassian suite specifically and beyond. In addition, this position will be responsible for operational maintenance, troubleshooting and support of applicable backend systems. We rely heavily on web-based services and you will have the opportunity to work with new and interesting technology, as well as with some of the best people in the industry. Above all, your work will affect the productivity of everyone at Spotify working on the way the world experiences music.

What You’ll Do

  • You will collaborate with partners within the company to design, configure, maintain and promote a variety of internally- and externally-facing applications, including the Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence), G Suite and Slack
  • You will support enterprise productivity and engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around productivity and velocity for Spotify
  • You will maintain enterprise application reliability by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health to purposefully mitigate risks and downtime
  • You will quickly triage, solve problems and resolve build and technical issues as they arise, both frontend and backend
  • You will work to scale software to support dynamic teams in a fast-paced environment
  • You will install, update, optimize and configure Jira Software & Service Desk instance using industry standards

Who You Are

  • You have an understanding of JIRA implementation, configuration and optimization, including PostgreSQL configuration
  • You have experience with Web technologies, including Web Services, XML, HTML, CSS or HTTP
  • You have experience with scripting and using REST APIs for integrations with 3rd party apps
  • You have experience in one or more of these languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Javascript and/or jQuery, ideally for enterprise-quality software
  • You have experience with GIT (understanding of GITHub PR flow), deployment and orchestration technologies, such as Puppet, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes
  • You have experience with building/managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI or other CI/CD systems
  • You have experience in scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers/Firewalls and web standards
  • You have a deep understanding of modern development practices and the development lifecycle with experience using Scrum, Kanban, Lean or other agile methodologies
  • You deeply prioritize the security of our systems and can develop a culture of enabling users and encouraging compliance with policies
  • You are a good communicator, both written and verbal, comfortable with messaging Tech, Executive Level, and company-wide comms
